The Role
Location: Flexible location in Europe, ideally Benelux, Nordics, Spain, Germany or UK.
Reports to: VP Marketing Excellence
We are looking for a highly accomplished expert in brand positioning and communications, with a proven track record, to lead our mission of building strong and credible brands. In collaboration with our brand owners, this role will define purposeful brand positionings and create powerful content that will build brand equity in a measurable and proven way.
You will be responsible for defining brand positionings based on deep consumer insights and for developing core creative ideas and campaign executions that connect with consumers, resulting in higher levels of engagement and supporting our growth ambitions. You will be working with local and global brand owners, guiding and supporting them through all key steps of the process.
Key Responsibilities
This expert role within Hero’s marketing function is responsible for the development and execution of brand positioning and creative excellence at Hero, ensuring all brand communications are grounded in strong consumer and shopper insights.
In this role, working with the brand owners, you will define brand positionings, drive the creative strategy, and ensure consistency across global campaigns.
You will manage agency relations, build internal capabilities, and champion brands to strengthen brand equity and marketing effectiveness across all touchpoints and markets.
About You
The ideal candidate has experience working as a brand and communications expert in a broader marketing organization, with a proven ability to develop new brands or evolve existing ones based on consumer and shopper insights.
You will have end-to-end hands on experience managing creative development and campaign execution across both local and global markets.
A solid understanding of the modern media landscape—particularly digital channels—is essential, alongside the ability to work effectively within complex global matrix organizations and influence senior stakeholders.
You’ll be skilled at identifying emerging trends and translating them into actionable strategic initiatives, and possess deep knowledge of agency models, including experience running international agency reviews.
You understand how gen AI is impacting the creative industry and know how to build the right capabilities to leverage this transformation.
You are working in an international FMCG matrix organization and bring solid experience with food and beverage brands, either working on advertiser side or agency side (strategic planner role or similar)
