As our Risk & Compliance Manager (m/f/d) at Hero, you are the guardian of product safety and regulatory integrity - you become a key enabler ensuring that our products meet all national and international food regulations. You shape how we identify, assess and manage risks across our food portfolio. You work directly with cross-functional teams such as R&D, Manufacturing, Quality Excellence and external laboratories.

This is what you can expect

• Ensure regulatory compliance of all products manufactured at our site in Bad Schwartau
• Review analysis plans and provide regulatory requirements for product specifications
• Validate recipes and product specifications for compliance
• Support raw-material approval processes, including technical sheet reviews
• Verify compliance of primary packaging materials and support topics related to food-contact
• Conduct risk assessments, including raw material and food-fraud evaluations
• Prepare and present risk and compliance reports (e.g., RASFF, early-warning systems)
• Contribute to the Food Defense Team and support crisis or compliance-related cases

• Regulatory expertise: Ability to understand and apply food-related laws, regulations and industry standards
• Risk & analytical mindset: Skilled in assessing risks across raw materials, suppliers, and processes
• Detail & quality focus: Accuracy in handling specifications, data and compliance documentation
• Problem-solving capability: Able to develop action plans and support crisis situations
• Cross-functional collaboration: Comfortable working with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality and labs
• Clear communication skills: Proficient in preparing and presenting compliance and risk reports
• Adaptability & vigilance: Ability to keep track of evolving regulatory requirements
• Language competence: Able to communicate professionally in German and English
