Category Business Development Manager (m/f) 80-100%
Your challenge
In this position you are responsible for the conception, planning and implementation of product portfolio activities primarily at the point of sale with the aim of increasing sales and brand awareness of the assigned categories in all relevant Global Export territory.
In this position you work independently with minimal direction or supervision and you report directly to our Head of Marketing Global Export. You are responsible for developing, maintaining, and servicing strong relationships and partnerships across multiple functional areas with internal sales, marketing, and customer service peers.
Your main responsibilities
• Increase Net Sales Volume (NSV), improve profitability, and build sustainable growth for the organization
• Develop a strategic plan for business growth of the product portfolio for the assigned categories by planning
and implementing product innovations (NPD) incl. market analysis, draft of business cases, label and design
adaptations and development of launch plans in cooperation with agencies as well as external and internal
stakeholders
• Analyze markets, competition and assortment analyses as well as market development and customer needs
monitoring for the product category in close cooperation with internal and external stakeholders
• Report and develop concrete recommendations for action in close cooperation with local teams
(Hero Sales and Distributors)
• Secure and maintain compliance sales and marketing activity with Hero / Organix regards to compliance of IMT
program and NPD requirements defined by the Group
• Maintenance of master data and image databases for all export product categories, good for printing, etc.
• Planning and continuous controlling of marketing and sales A&P spending for all categories as well as project
budgets
• Develop sell-in presentations, category and product training presentations for distributors / customers and
if needed, participate in distributors sales meetings
• Support all operative Hero brand and product segments in cooperation with the interfaces Purchasing,
Quality & Innovation and Planning Hero Switzerland internally and with our Intercompany partners
We expect
• Strong business management and entrepreneurial skills, including financial management
and strong project management experience
• Min. 5 years successful work record with product portfolio development and NPD within
Fast Moving Consumer Goods
• Food Service understanding ideal, but not a must
• High digital acumen ideal, but not a must
• Effective communication skills in English (oral and written), German considered a plus
• Ability to travel 5-15%
