About the role

 

As a Commercial Business Controller, you will act as key business partner to the Finish Country Manager (including Finland, Iceland & Baltics as commercial regions) and supporting the Nordic S&OP process, owning financial analysis, business cases, and performance follow-up. You will ensure fact-based decision-making and support commercial decisions to accelerate profitable growth.

 

You will be joining a small and dedicated finance team with a lot of energy and a genuine interest in understanding and developing the business. We work closely with colleagues across the organisation and enjoy turning numbers into insights that actually make a difference in day-to-day decisions. Key Responsibilities

 

  • Full responsibility for performance tracking: monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, budgeting, and rolling forecasts.
  • Ensure strong financial control and adherence to internal processes
  • Support strategic initiatives, category strategies, and customer plans with robust financial analysis from sales to profit margin
  • Support the Financial Controller in ensuring accurate data uploads in BI and budgeting systems.
  • Proactively identify improvement areas and lead projects to enhance profitability.
  • Identify and drive opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve financial processes and reporting.
  • Occasional business travel to Nordic offices with higher frequency to the Nordic regional office in Stockholm.

 

About you:

 

  • 5 years of experience as a Business Controller with full P&L responsibility.
  • Ability to translate financial data into clear insights and recommendations.
  • Excellent ability to build strong relationships
  • Business minded with a strong commitment to driving the continued growth and development of the business.
  • Work confidently with large data volumes
  • Advanced Excel skills (frequent user of Pivot Tables; Power Query) and proficiency in PowerPoint. Experience with Microsoft Co-Pilot is an advantage.
  • Experience with BI tools.
  • Fluent in Swedish & English, both spoken and written. Understanding of spoken Finish is an advantage.
  • Degree in Business Administration or equivalent
  • Experience in FMCG or other fast-moving industries is an advantage.
  • Experience with SAP, SQL, and Power BI.
